Last revised at: April 24, 2025

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS COMPETITION
1. General Information:The 99math Masters League (the “Masters League Competition”), sponsored by 99math OÜ (“99math”), is a series of monthly competitions (each a “Monthly Competition”) that contribute to the overall Masters League standings. Each Monthly Competition allows participants to accumulate scores that determine their placement in the Masters League Competition rankings. The Masters League Competition begins at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 3, 2025, and ends at 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time on May 16, 2025 (the “Masters League Competition Period”) with Monthly Competition periods as follows:
- March 3, 2025 - March 28, 2025;- April 7, 2025 - April 25, 2025;- May 5, 2025 - May 16, 2025.(each a “Monthly Competition Period”)
No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and purchase does not improve odds of winning. The Competition is void wherever prohibited by law or where the Competition does not comply with applicable registration or filing requirements of any state or local jurisdiction. By entering the Competition, you agree to these Official Rules, which are a contract, so read them carefully before entering. This contract includes limitations of your rights and remedies.

2. Eligibility:The Competition is open only to teachers with a 99math account and grade 1-8 classes in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (each a “State”), subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Competition is not open to (a) any employees of 99math or any of the respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or advertising or promotion agencies of any of the foregoing (such entities, collectively, the “Promotion Parties”), or (b) any such employee’s immediate family members (e.g., spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling, step-sibling, half-sibling, child, and step-child) or any person living in the same household as such individuals. Any false or deceptive entries or acts associated with a class will result in points being deducted from the total class score. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar methods of entry by a class or a student may disqualify that class from the Masters League Competition or render the games played ineligible for inclusion in the score for that class.

3. Participation:Teachers can participate (“Participation”) by signing up their class to the Masters League Competition and having their students in Grades 1-8 play any games on 99math. All problem-solving activities contribute to the score:
- Group Game- Individual Practice- Assignments- Home Games (including Arena)
Play-based activities, like playing in the Pet Park or building islands, do not contribute to the score. Scores are normalized to ensure fairness, meaning each class's score accounts for its size and participation rate. Teachers can follow their class progress in the Monthly Competition Periods by viewing the Leaderboards on the state, league or school level.
- The class leaderboard ranks classes based on total points earned, displaying the class name (set by the teacher), school name, state, and the effort-based scores.- The school leaderboard ranks top 100 schools based on total points earned, displaying the school name, state, number of classes registered, and the effort-based scores.- The student leaderboard highlights top 6 students based on effort, and 6 most improved students, showing their avatar, class name, state, grade, and effort-based score. No personally identifiable student information is displayed.- The League leaderboard ranks classes within different competition tiers (Titan, Elite, Grand, Premier, Power, Rising, and Starters) based on total accumulated effort points. They display the class name, grade, school name, state, and total score across all monthly competition periods.

4. How to Enter:Teachers can enter their classes into the Masters League Competition by signing up any class they have created on the platform through the Masters League Competition registration form. A teacher can create a new class under the "Classes" section in the menu.

5. Winner Selection and Notification:99math may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Official Rules. Points will be awarded to each participating class based on the time spent solving math problems in class or at home, in each of the Monthly Competition Periods. Home practice earns 1.5x more points per minute than school practice.
Based on the total points a class has earned during all of the Monthly Competition Periods, classes will be placed into competition leagues based on point totals as follows:
- Titan League (Classes with total points earned from each of the Monthly Competition Periods placing them in the Top 3% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Elite League (Classes not in the Titan League with total points placing them in the Top 10% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Grand League (Classes not in the Titan or Elite Leagues with total points placing them in the Top 25% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Premier League (Classes not in the Titan, Elite or Grand Leagues with total points placing them in the Top 50% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Power League (Classes not in the Titan, Elite, Grand or Premier Leagues with total points placing them in the Top 70% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Rising League (Classes not in the Titan, Elite, Grand, Premier or Power Leagues with total points placing them in the Top 90% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)- Starters League (Classes not in the Titan, Elite, Grand, Premier, Power or Rising Leagues with total points placing them in the Top 100% of all Participation over all of the Monthly Competition Periods)
At the end of the 2024/2025 school year, classes in their respective leagues will be rewarded with prizes described in Section 6. Classes will be ranked within each league based on the time spent solving math problems in class or at home, in each of the Monthly Competition Periods.
The winner(s) of each Monthly Competition will be declared within seven (7) days after the end of each Monthly Competition Period. 99math will award Monthly Competition Prizes to classes as described in Section 6, based on a participating class's ranking in their grade for the given Monthly Competition Period as determined by the total time spent solving math problems in class or at home during the Monthly Competition Period. Each Monthly Competition will be ranked separately and neither rankings nor points from a prior month will carry over to a subsequent month.
The winner(s) of the Masters League Competition and prizes in each League will be declared within seven (7) days after the end of the Masters League Competition Period. Each winner will be notified (the “Winner Notification”) by email, within approximately seven (7) days after the winner(s) have been selected, using contact information from the winner’s 99math account. If, for any reason, (a) more than one bona fide winner comes forward seeking to claim a prize or (b) there is a tie, then, in 99math's sole discretion, (i) the applicable prize may be awarded to each such bona fide winner with a tying class score, or (ii) a single winner will be selected in accordance with the above criteria and winner selection process from among such bona fide winners. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified or forfeits a prize for any reason, 99math may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate winner in accordance with the criteria and winner selection process set forth above from among all remaining eligible entries. All prizes will be awarded provided that a sufficient number of eligible entries are received.
